Welcome to the Shield Education Affiliate Program

The Shield Education Affiliate Program gives approved individuals the opportunity to earn commission by referring eligible students to Shield Education for selected First Aid and CPR training.

These Terms and Conditions explain how the program works, when commission is earned and the standards expected of all Shield Education affiliates.

By applying to participate in the Shield Education Affiliate Program, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Affiliate Applications & Approval

Anyone interested in promoting Shield Education may submit an application to join our Affiliate Program.

Submitting an application does not automatically mean that you have been accepted.

All applications are reviewed by Shield Education. We reserve the right to approve or decline an application.

You must not represent yourself as an approved Shield Education affiliate until your application has been approved and your affiliate account has been activated.

Once approved, you will receive access to your affiliate account and referral tools.

2. How the Affiliate Program Works

Approved affiliates can promote eligible Shield Education courses using their:

✓ Unique affiliate referral link
✓ Personal affiliate QR code
✓ Shield-approved promotional material

When someone follows your affiliate link and makes an eligible purchase, our affiliate system records the referral.

To qualify for commission, the student’s purchase must be successfully attributed to your affiliate account and meet the eligibility requirements outlined in these Terms and Conditions.

IMPORTANT: Always encourage people you refer to use your unique affiliate link when booking.

3. Eligible Courses

Affiliate commission currently applies ONLY to:

HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

These are currently the only Shield Education courses eligible for the standard Affiliate Program commission.

Commission is not payable on other Shield Education qualifications, skill sets, courses, products or services unless Shield Education specifically advises otherwise.

Currently NOT included:

  • CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services
  • CHCSS00130 Individual Support – Disability Skill Set
  • Non-accredited professional development courses
  • Any other Shield Education course or service not specifically identified as eligible

4. Your Commission

$10 AUD per eligible full-paying student

Approved affiliates will earn $10 AUD for each eligible full-paying student successfully referred to:

HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

OR

HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Important

Where a First Aid enrolment includes CPR as part of the course requirements, this does not create two separate commissions.

One eligible First Aid enrolment = one $10 commission.

Shield Education may introduce additional eligible courses, promotional commission rates or incentives in the future. Affiliates will be advised when these apply.

5. When Is Commission Earned?

A commission is eligible for payment when:

✓ The student has been successfully referred through your unique affiliate link or another Shield-approved tracking method.

✓ The enrolment is for an eligible Affiliate Program course.

✓ The student is a full-paying student.

✓ Shield Education has received the required course payment.

✓ The transaction is genuine.

✓ The enrolment has not been cancelled, refunded, reversed or charged back.

✓ You have complied with these Terms and Conditions.

A referral or commission appearing in your affiliate dashboard does not necessarily mean that the commission has been approved for payment. Shield Education may review referrals before approving commissions.

6. Refunds & Cancellations

Commission is not payable where an enrolment is:

  • Cancelled
  • Refunded
  • Reversed
  • Charged back
  • Fraudulent
  • Duplicated
  • Otherwise determined to be ineligible

If the commission has not yet been paid, Shield Education may reject the commission.

If a commission has already been paid and the associated transaction is subsequently refunded, reversed or found to be ineligible, Shield Education may adjust a future affiliate commission balance where appropriate and permitted by law.

7. Self-Referrals & Misuse

Affiliates cannot earn commission by purchasing a Shield Education course through their own affiliate link.

Affiliates must not create artificial referrals, false transactions or otherwise attempt to manipulate the affiliate tracking system.

Affiliates must not encourage another person to make a false or artificial transaction for the purpose of generating commission.

Suspected misuse may result in commissions being withheld or rejected while the matter is reviewed.

Serious or repeated misuse may result in suspension or termination from the Affiliate Program.

8. Promoting Shield Education

We want our affiliates to promote Shield Education confidently while ensuring prospective students receive accurate and professional information.

Affiliates must NOT:

  • Make false, misleading or deceptive claims.
  • Guarantee employment or employment outcomes.
  • Guarantee that a student will successfully complete a course.
  • Advertise unauthorised discounts or special offers.
  • Advertise incorrect prices.
  • Provide incorrect information about course duration, assessment or delivery.
  • Make unauthorised claims about government funding or subsidies.
  • Collect course fees on behalf of Shield Education.
  • Claim to be a Shield Education employee, trainer or assessor unless separately engaged in that capacity.
  • Enter into agreements or make commitments on behalf of Shield Education.
  • Use spam, deceptive advertising or inappropriate marketing practices.

9. RTO Advertising Requirements

Because Shield Education delivers nationally recognised training, our courses must be promoted accurately.

Affiliates must use correct course information supplied or approved by Shield Education.

Correct course names:

HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Affiliates must not make unauthorised claims concerning accreditation, licensing, regulatory requirements, employment outcomes, government funding or recognition of training.

Shield Education may ask an affiliate to change or remove promotional material that is inaccurate, outdated, misleading, non-compliant or inconsistent with our approved branding.

Where Shield Education provides approved promotional material, affiliates should use that material whenever possible.

10. Shield Education Logo & Branding

The Shield Education name, logo, graphics, course materials and other branding remain the property of Shield Education Pty Ltd or their respective rights holders.

Approved affiliates may use promotional material supplied or specifically approved by Shield Education for the purpose of promoting eligible Shield Education courses.

Affiliates must not alter the Shield Education logo or use our branding in a way that suggests ownership, employment, partnership or authority that does not exist.

If your participation in the Affiliate Program ends, you must stop representing yourself as a Shield Education affiliate and cease using Shield promotional material where requested.

11. Your Affiliate Link & Tracking

Approved affiliates receive a unique referral link and may also have access to a personal QR code.

30-Day Referral Tracking

Shield Education currently operates a 30-day referral tracking period.

Where the tracking technology operates correctly, someone who follows your referral link and subsequently makes an eligible purchase within the applicable tracking period may be attributed to your affiliate account.

Last-Affiliate Attribution

Shield Education currently uses last-affiliate attribution.

If our system records valid referrals from more than one affiliate before a purchase, the most recently recorded eligible affiliate referral may receive the commission.

Tracking can be affected by browser settings, cookies, privacy controls, different devices and other technology outside Shield Education’s control.

For this reason, Shield Education cannot guarantee that every person who sees or clicks an affiliate promotion will ultimately be attributed to that affiliate.

12. Commission Payments

Only commissions approved by Shield Education are eligible for payment.

Affiliates are responsible for ensuring their payment information is accurate and current.

Shield Education may temporarily withhold a commission while investigating a disputed, duplicated, suspicious, refunded or potentially ineligible referral.

The applicable payment process and payment schedule will be communicated to approved affiliates.

Affiliates are responsible for their own taxation, reporting, Australian Business Number requirements (where applicable) and other obligations relating to income received through the Affiliate Program.

Participation in the Affiliate Program does not guarantee any minimum number of referrals, commissions or level of income.

13. Independent Affiliate Relationship

Participation in the Shield Education Affiliate Program does not make you an employee of Shield Education.

The program does not create a partnership, joint venture, franchise or agency relationship between an affiliate and Shield Education.

Affiliates participate independently.

Unless separately authorised, affiliates cannot:

  • Enter into contracts on behalf of Shield Education.
  • Collect student course fees on our behalf.
  • Enrol or assess students on our behalf.
  • Make commitments on behalf of Shield Education.
  • Represent themselves as having authority to act on behalf of Shield Education.

14. Privacy & Student Information

Affiliates must respect the privacy of prospective and current Shield Education students.

Affiliates must not improperly collect, store, disclose, publish or misuse personal information obtained through their promotional activities.

Prospective students should be directed to Shield Education’s official systems when enrolling, paying or providing personal information.

Affiliates must NOT collect or retain:

  • Student identification documents
  • Unique Student Identifier (USI) information
  • Medicare or licence details
  • Payment or banking details
  • Other sensitive enrolment information

unless specifically authorised by Shield Education to do so.

15. Suspension or Termination

Shield Education may suspend or terminate an affiliate account where there is suspected:

  • Fraud
  • Manipulation of referrals
  • Misuse of affiliate links
  • Misleading advertising
  • Inappropriate conduct
  • Misuse of Shield Education branding
  • Breach of these Terms and Conditions
  • Conduct that may expose Shield Education or its students to unreasonable risk

Where appropriate, Shield Education may give an affiliate an opportunity to correct an issue before their participation is terminated.

Affiliates may also stop participating in the program at any time.

Legitimate commissions earned and approved before termination remain subject to these Terms and Conditions.

Invalid or rejected commissions do not become payable simply because an affiliate account has been terminated.

16. Changes to the Affiliate Program

Shield Education may reasonably update the Affiliate Program from time to time.

Changes may include:

  • Eligible courses
  • Commission amounts
  • Promotional incentives
  • Referral tracking arrangements
  • Payment processes
  • Advertising requirements
  • These Terms and Conditions

Where a material change affects existing affiliates, Shield Education will take reasonable steps to communicate the change before it applies to future referrals.

A change to the commission rate will not retrospectively reduce an approved commission already earned under the applicable terms at the time of the eligible referral.

Once your affiliate application has been approved, you can access your unique affiliate referral link and begin referring eligible students.

$10 per eligible full-paying First Aid or CPR student referred.

By participating in the Shield Education Affiliate Program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
